Those elected at the 2009 Convention will be expected to attend these
meetings: November 13-15, 2009: Planning Retreat at
Ascension School; and
2010 meetings held bi-monthly beginning in January, usually in The Dalles; and the 2010 Diocesan Convention
TO BECOME A CANDIDATE FOR THESE POSITIONS:

Read the DUTIES (for Diocesan Council or Standing Committee).

Complete a Candidate Information Form, which may be downloaded or obtained from the person in charge of your congregation or from the Diocesan Office. Submit completed and copy ready candidate forms to the Diocesan Office by August 25, 2009, for reproduction in the Pre-Convention Journal. Nominations will be accepted following that date, but information about the candidate will not be published. Announcement of those nominations will be made from the floor of Convention prior to elections.
PLEASE NOTE: Qualification for candidacy for lay positions is "confirmed adult communicants in good standing of some congregation in canonical union with the Diocese." An "adult" is defined as 16 years of age and older. Representation on these bodies from all Convocations of the Diocese is highly encouraged. Anyone interested in these positions is encouraged to submit a Candidate Form. Attendance at the 2009 Diocesan Convention is not required of candidates but can be conducive to election.
