The Eastern Oregon Cursillo Community is lay-led, a part of the Diocese of Eastern Oregon that was founded to meet the growing spiritual needs of all people of all Christian denominations in the Diocese. It is part of a world-wide community which began with the Roman Catholic Cursillo movement.

Its purpose is to help those in the church understand their individual callings to be Christian Leaders.

This site is intended to share information about the Cursillo Movement in the Diocese of Eastern Oregon. Here you will find general information about Cursillo and the Diocese of Eastern Oregon, as well as details of upcoming Cursillo weekends, including information about sponsorship and registration.

“ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD”

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Fall is in the air and the wonderful Grand Ultreya provided by the Redmond group is in the past.  It was a weekend with lots of prayer, music, fellowship, sharing, inspiring talks, yummy food, etc.  It is always great to be in communion with other Cursillistas and meet so many of the new candidates.  We were reminded of the importance of 4th Day.

Now it is time to begin the process of preparing for Cursillo #45.  Believe it or not it is only seven months away.  We ask that you begin to consider serving on the team in May and helping to provide for others the experience that was an important part of your spiritual journey.  Last year proved that the Cursillo movement is up and running and ready to serve.  Let’s be about God’s work!!

It is also very important that you start looking around your community for people you would like to sponsor as a candidate.  We have a gift to give and share with others.  It is not too soon to ask those whom you think would benefit.

Important dates for Cursillo #45 are as follows:

  • Weekend at Ascension School :May 3, 4, 5 and 6, 2012
  • Tentative team meeting dates in The Dalles: 
    • March 10th, 2012  
    • April 14th, 2012


The theme for Cursillo #45 is “All Things Are Possible With God”.  We are certain that will your support we will be able to serve and provide a spiritual weekend and spread His message.
