Ascension School’s New Executive Director
Greetings to all in the grace and peace of Christ.
It is my privilege to announce to you that we have called a new Executive Director for our Ascension School Camp and Conference Center, after what has been a search process that has gone smoothly, rapidly, and with a most successful outcome.
Kim McClain has graciously accepted the position. Kim lives in Bend where she is a very active member of Trinity, and on the Diocesan level serves as the current President of Standing Committee and Chair of the Environmental Justice Commission. She brings not only a significant depth of training and experience to this position, especially in areas I had intentionally hoped we could secure, but she has the people skills, the commitment to our Diocese and to the larger church, and a personal character that I believe will attend her well in a role which will demand creativity, bold new thinking, and a deep attention to our history.
No definite date has been set for Kim to make the transition to Cove, where she will reside, but we anticipate she will be in her new role by mid spring.
